Today I am going to review one blush which I have been regularly using for the last couple of weeks. This is the Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos Rose Blush which has two very natural warm shade of pink in one pan. Although the brand claims that the blush will give a luminous effect on the cheeks but the blush does not show any presence of shimmer particles in the pan. So it looks like a matte blush in the first impression.
Price: Rs. 750/- for 6 gm (available on Amazon)
Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos comes in a standard black plastic pan with transparent lid. The lid shuts tightly. From appearance the packaging looks sturdy enough to travel with. There is a tiny brush that came along the blush but I don’t think anybody will like to apply or blend blush with that.
The texture of both of the pigments of the Blush Duos Rose Blush is satiny smooth. It feels creamy upon touching and blends on skin super easily. The formula of the blush powder is really great because it does not give any cakey effect on skin which I have faced with other powder blushes. It sits on the skin like a cream blush and does not amplify the presence of large pores on my cheeks.
Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos Rose blush has two shades. The exact shades of both of the blushes are difficult to catch in the picture. They turn pinker than the reality. In the pan they look like light earthy pink and deep earthy pink when seen in low light or indoor. Upon moving the pan under highlight or sunlight the pigments turn into pinker and less earthy tone. When I swap my fingers on them they seems like bubblegum pink. When I blend each color separately the darker shade turns into a very warm shade of reddish pink which looks like the natural flush on medium to dark skin and the lighter shade turns into light warm pink which is appropriate for light complexion to fake as a natural flush. The rose blush is the most natural looking blush I have tried so far for Indian medium complexion.
The pigmentation of the Rose Blush is on lighter side. It is easy to build up the color by swapping multiple times. Upon multiple application the shades become more reddish and give a light glow on the cheeks. When I looked very closely I saw golden micro shimmer particles (not highly concentrated) which are responsible for the lovely dewy glow.
As the blush is lowly pigmented it doesn’t stay more than 5 hours if my face sweats a lot or becomes oily very frequently.

Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos Rose Blush is the best blush for any Indian girl of any complexion to fake the healthy rosy glow. Buying blushes is the most difficult task for medium skinned girls like me. Either they turn pinker or they look like mud or dark pigmentation. In one word they look “fake” most of the time. The Rose Blush is just a savior when you don’t have the time and occasion to play around multiple products to achieve the perfect glow without looking like a joker. Although the blush is on the expensive side I will suggest to stock one for urgency and for future shade references while buying cheaper or long lasting blushes.
